The Journal of the National Collegiate Honors Council (JNCHC) is a refereed periodical publishing scholarly articles on honors and higher education in general. Articles may include analyses of trends in teaching methodology, discussions of problems common to honors programs and colleges, items on the national higher education agenda, research on assessment, and presentations of emergent issues relevant to honors.
JNCHC is also the home of lively conversations on pressing issues in the field of honors. In every issue, a hot topic is addressed by an author specializing in this specific question and published alongside responses to the statement. This unique format allows JNCHC to remain current while speaking directly to honors practitioners and other readers interested in how honors educators are responding to contemporary problems in higher education.
